Oliver Nias is a BIFA-nominated filmmaker from London.


Oliver is the writer-director of high-concept mystery thriller The ReturnThe 35mm-shot feature film was nominated for The Discovery Award at the British Independent Film Awards, Best UK Feature at Raindance Film Festival and winner of Best Screenplay at the Top Indie Film Awards.

He has directed thriller The Speechwriter and produced dark comedy Round Robin, short films that were Official Selection for Raindance and Aesthetica Short Film Festival respectively.


He is managed by Adam Kolbrenner's Lit Entertainment Group for Film & TV.

Oliver started making films while studying English Literature at University College London and founded commercial production company Obstacle Films in 2012.



Oliver Nias is in development with a slate of feature films. He is attending Berlin, Cannes and London Film Festivals.
